Anthony’s passion for the outdoors began at a young age moving throughout the ranks of the Scout Movement from Cubs through to Rovers. On frequent camps and hikes into the bush the love affair began. “I can remember like it was yesterday how it made me feel to hear the sound of the river bubbling over the rocks and the sound of the wind rustling through the trees. Over 30 years later I still feel exactly the same way each and every time I enter the mighty Vic High Country – it just grabs at my soul and doesn’t let go – I cannot describe a greater feeling!”
Anthony has travelled to many parts of the Vic High Country in Big Red the 60, from family, group and solo trips to participating in volunteer work on various projects. “I love nothing more than sharing my passion of the Vic High Country and giving our clients a complete outdoor experience!”
Paul’s passion for the outdoors began many years ago but his love of the Vic High Country really took off when he bought a Land Rover Discovery in 2003 and started taking the family away for weekends to places that weren’t accessible in a 2WD. He is now on his third 4WD (a 100 series Cruiser) and has never looked back! Paul is a very talented photographer and has an amazing ability to capture the most spectacular panoramic views, wildlife and history of the Vic High Country. If you’re wanting to expand your photography skills whilst on our tours, Paul is always more than happy to pass on his knowledge.
Andy’s has an extensive knowledge of the Vic High Country. As a CFA volunteer he has fought many fires in difficult and remote terrain – most notably the 2003 Alpine Fires, 2006-07 Great Divide Fire and 2009 Black Saturday. Andy is the chief hunter and gatherer within the team, preparing our camps with well stocked firewood and landing a trout or two from the pristine streams. He is also king of the kids with his trusty sidekick Billie the Australian Kelpie!
